A large rutile quartz which contains acicular (needle-like) inclusions of black tourmaline, pear-cut and set in the classic bezel.

The pendant measures - 1.3 cm long x 1.0 cm wide x 0.5 cm deep (does not include the bail).

Black Rutile is primarily composed of quartz with needle-like inclusions of rutile, a mineral composed of titanium dioxide. These inclusions are formed when rutile crystals become trapped during the formation of quartz, creating the unique appearance of black needles.
