A large rutile quartz which contains acicular (needle-like) inclusions of black tourmaline, oval-cut and set in the classic bezel.

The pendant measures - 3.3 cm long x 1.9 cm wide x 0.7 cm deep (does not include the bail).
4.5 cm long x 1.9 cm wide x 0.7 cm deep (includes the bail)

The pendant weighs 10 grams.

About the stone:
Black Rutile is primarily composed of quartz with needle-like inclusions of rutile, a mineral composed of titanium dioxide. These inclusions are formed when rutile crystals become trapped during the formation of quartz, creating the unique appearance of black or golden needles.

Rutile Tourmaline quartz is believed to protect the wearer from negative thoughts and emotions. It is said to be filled with energy that flashes through it and connects one with other fields of energy. It is thought to provide a balancing of yin/yang energies and release negative patterns.
